Now what’s this all about?
You’re curious like a cat! I’m gonna call you Whiskers.
Thanks for stopping by and checking out the site. Planner Reads is the work of Bud Caddell, Undercurrent, and of course, the planners and strategists contributing to the site. We’re still in the very early and very experimental stages of the site, so if you’ve got an idea to share or bug to report, please drop us a line.
If you’d like to join our growing community of planners and strategists sharing posts, for now you’ll need to visit this spreadsheet and add your information. We’re doing our best to add users as quickly as we can.
How the Site Works (for now):

Planner Reads works by aggregating the Google Reader shared feeds from a small group of planners and strategists. Once a user adds an item to their Google Reader shared feed, our sophisticated system (an intrepid feline database admin named Dennis, as pictured) adds up the number of users in the system sharing the same post and posts a synopsis to the site. The number you see on the left of every post is the number of users in our community that have hit ’share’ on that post inside their Google Reader.
Linking to the Original Source:

While we’re obsessed with how often content is shared by our users, we do want to ensure that the original source of that content is well represented on the site. On every post, the title links directly to the original source, the link marked ’source’ on the left hand side of every post drives to the original source, and the URL below each post links to the original source. We also currently limit how much of each post we reproduce. As we continue to evolve the site, we’ll work to improve how posts link back to the original source and better promote all of the sources that make the site possible.
If you’re unhappy with how your content is being used, please drop us a line.
You Haven’t Answered my Question!
But aren’t the most interesting bits of life all about those unanswered questions? No? Well, email us with your question and we’ll respond and perhaps consider it worthy of this brilliant page.
