How the Brands are Stacking up in 2010 Olympic Advertising

First shared by: James Sherrett

We’ve been conducting an experiment here at AdHack on the Olympic advertising in Vancouver for the 2010 Winter Olympics. We’re not only focusing on the big name brands that are official sponsors, but we’re also looking at the little guys that are trying to capitalize on the Olympics being here and boosting their business.

We have a Flickr pool going that is filling up fast. You can see some of the photos in the above slideshow. This is a crowd-sourcing project, so we want your photos, too! Join the group and add some photos of Olympic ads that you see around town. We haven’t covered everything, and I’m sure we’re missing out on some really cool stuff.

So far, the brands that seem to be “leading” this little competition are as follows:

Official Sponsors:

The Hudson Bay Company National Sponsor

Official provider of the 2010 Canadian Olympic Team apparel, and they are calling the Bay’s Pacific Centre location the “The Olympic Superstore.”
