Integrating your Facebook fan pages into online ads
Yaybia’s Erin Lamberty sent me this link about Spongecell, knowing as she does, how much of a fan I am of online display advertising!
Basically Spongecell provides technology for you to put a link to a Facebook fan page on your ad. It’s a good idea to the point of almost being a no brainer. If you do spend money on online ads, why would you NOT want to do this? This is especially as most people that click through to the actual ad click through to the fan page as well (.5 to .8 fan/click ratios).
In other words, click through rates for online ads are so low, anyone who overcomes banner blindness and actually does voluntarily decide to find out more has a fairly high level of interest in the product anyway. So, it’s not such a huge stretch to also become a Facebook fan.
